The "Donaghadee Night" and AGM was on held on Monday 23rd April. A report of this meeting will appear soon.

We are drawing to the close of another successful year and have two planned outings over the next two months.

Our outing this year is to the Somme Centre on Saturday 12th May. Contact Jane Wright to register your interest. We would plan to leave the Community Centre Car park at 10am and travel by car. Cost of the trip will be £4.75 for the tour of the centre.

Another trip is being planed to the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre, near Drogheda, on 16th June. The plan is to travel by coach leaving Donaghadee at 9.30 am and returning at 5.30pm. Cost is anticipated to be £7 per head fotr the coach and 3 euros for entrance to the Visitors Centre. Once again contact Jane Wright.

A query from a reader of the website prompted me to research an incident during World War II when three Donaghadee men were drowned in Bangor Bay. I am grateful to Gordon Nelson, the orphan of one of the victims, for giving me materials to enable me to write the article. It is in the "Donaghadee" section.
