A query from a reader of the website prompted me to research an incident during World War II when three Donaghadee men were drowned in Bangor Bay. I am grateful to Gordon Nelson, the orphan of one of the victims, for giving me materials to enable me to write the article. It is in the "Donaghadee" section.
We have now added a new feature "PhotoChat" which will show photos of local interest, old and new. This page will feature new items each month. Thanks to Ivan Strahan for this new feature which should prove of immense interest.
There is now a major new article within the Donaghadee Section. This is "The Streets of Donaghadee" an expansion of a talk given in 2010. This is to be a living article which will be added to and expanded with time. We have started with Moat Street and further additions will be made on a weekly, if not a daily basis.
We are grateful to Jane Wright for an excellent article on the diaries of John Scott a Divinity Student from Donaghadee in the early 18th Century. The article is in two parts in the Donaghadee section.
Congratulations to Grace Neills public house celebrating 400 years this year.
